Jürgen Klopp is already working to strengthen the squad for a season in which he aims to return to the top club competition in Europe. This summer, several players who won everything at Anfield are coming to the end of their contracts, so the club needs a generational replacement and to achieve this, the Reds' board is targeting a young talent from Ligue 1 who costs 32 million euros.
With the departures of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner and Naby Keita, Liverpool need to sign midfield players who can make an immediate contribution, but also provide the team with an interesting future to compete in the medium and long term against the best teams in Europe. That is why Liverpool's board of directors is analyzing the possibility of bringing in young players with great projection for the future.
Such is the case of 24-year-old Qatar 2022 World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister, for whom the Anfield squad will pay less than 70 million euros, as well as Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, also 24 years old and with proven experience in the Premier League, for whom the Reds have already begun talks.
However, Klopp and his coaching staff are not satisfied with that and are now prioritizing the arrival of the son of a former World Cup winner who has other big clubs after him with the intention of making him the new star of French football. We are talking about he 22-year-old Képhren Thuram, the son of legendary defender Lilliam Thuram, world champion at France 98.
Thanks to the great qualities he has shown in his current team OG Nice of Ligue 1, Képhren Thuram is on the radar of several European giants. In addition to Liverpool, the French midfielder is of interest to Real Madrid, PSG, Manchester United and Manchester City.
