Throughout its history, Liverpool has had great players and Anfield is home to great legends who marked an era with the club. Likewise, Reds fans have witnessed how players with great talent have played for our team and have excited everyone with the promise of becoming great figures, but unfortunately that doesn't always happen.

In Jürgen Klopp's first years as manager of our Liverpool, the team had players of great quality who, to the disgrace of all the fans, had failed to win a really important title despite having players of great level and who promised to be the stars of the team in the years to come.

That team had players such as Philippe Coutinho, Mario Balotelli and Daniel Sturridge, three players who looked set to become not only great stars, but who many considered to be talented enough to become legends of the team. One of those who excited the fans the most was precisely Daniel Sturridge, as the English attacker had shown great qualities and a great potential that quickly won him the affection of the fans.

However, the fate was not what many of us expected. Jürgen Klopp noticed something that, at the time, almost nobody could see but today it can be said that it was a great decision in Liverpool's favor. Klopp decided to loan him out to other teams to finally end Sturridge's relationship with the club. And since his departure, Daniel has never been the same and today, despite not being officially retired, he has no team and it seems that there is no one interested in him.

What happened to Daniel Sturridge?

One of the greatest talents to have passed through Anfield in recent years, yet today no one remembers Daniel Sturridge, as he doesn't even have a team. His career went downhill after his departure from Liverpool, but when it definitely went downhill was when he was suspended for a year for illegal gambling.
