In the 2018-2019 season, Liverpool managed to return to the top of Europe, conquering the Champions League with a great base of players who aimed at the highest levels of world football. That great team had great players, some were consecrated as legends and others not so much.
That squad led by our coach Jürgen Klopp was crowned European champion and the fans were thrilled with the future of one of the great architects of that triumph, a player with privileged characteristics who won the hearts of Anfield with his 68 goals.
We are talking about Daniel Sturridge, a player who came to arouse the interest of the big teams in Europe and his level led him to play in the World Cup representing the England national team in Brazil 2014, however that tournament was a disaster for the team that was eliminated in the group stage.
After the arrival of Liverpool's historic trident of Salah, Mané and Firmino, Sturridge left the team and was at Trabzonspor in Turkey, where due to off-field problems he was suspended and later went to play in Australia. He currently has no team and although he is not officially retired, it is unlikely that he will return to professional activity.
When Daniel Sturridge went to Turkey he was involved in illegal gambling, for which he received a suspension. After that he spent a year without playing and when he returned to activity he was not the same.
