This summer our Liverpool has struggled more than expected to find signings. It all started very well with the signings of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, who were even able to do the whole preseason with the club, but after that, the board struggled a lot to bring in the third signing of the summer.
Finally a week ago it was announced that Wataru Endo would surprisingly become the club's new player, but now Jürgen Klopp is still looking for another player to join the team before the end of the transfer window, which has less than a week left.
Jürgen Klopp's priority seems to be evident, as it has been said that signing a midfielder and a central defender is the board's priority, and in that sense it seems that the German manager has set his eyes on the Eredivisie, a league with a lot of talent and affordable prices, in order to sign the last reinforcements for the team before facing the new 2023-2024 season.
In that sense, it seems that one of Klopp's targets is a player who belongs to the current Eredivisie champions and who, although he is not a big name, could be a solution to the problems that have plagued Liverpool in recent weeks since the unexpected departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.
We are talking about Dutch midfielder Mats Wieffer, who belongs to Feyenoord. 23 years old, Wieffer is valued at 15 million euros and according to the Football Transfers portal is one of the targets of Jürgen Klopp. In addition, the portal details that this summer, Wieffer would have rejected approaches from AC Milan and Lazio, but would be willing to listen to a proposal from Liverpool.
