How changed they are! This was the Legends Classic at Anfield

Mark Gonzalez was again instrumental in the Liverpool legends' win over Manchester United as he scored the opening goal to put his side 2-1 up. He came off the bench to equalise and once again shine in these charity matches, having scored a brace in the previous match.

A huge number of great former players were on show at Anfield. The home side included Jerzy Dudek, Martin Skrtel, Xabi Alonso, Maxi Rodriguez and Robbie Keane, while the visitors featured Jaap Stam, Antonio Valencia, Michael Carrick, Karel Poborsky, Roy Keane and Dimitar Berbatov.

The Reds were emboldened by the Chilean's goal and late in the game they got the winning goal from a move down the left that started with a great recovery by Albert Riera and was set up for Florent Sinama-Pongolle to fire home with a tremendous finish. In this way, Liverpool took the series 5-2 with a total of three goals from Mark Gonzalez. But, most importantly, 30,000 paying fans were in attendance, all of which went to charity.
