Liverpool have already made their first signing for the upcoming season, in which they will fight to return to the Champions League and end Manchester City's dominance in the Premier League. The Anfield board made official the arrival of Argentine midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, who arrives from Brighton & Hovel Albion, but Jürgen Klopp already has his next moves in mind so Mac Allister's arrival was just the first step.
The Reds come from a decpecionante campaign in which Klopp's team took a huge step backwards, as they failed to finish in the top four of the table and were out of the Champions League. In addition, this season they failed to lift any trophy, so the German tactician would have decided to carry out a renewal of the squad.
The arrival of Alexis Mac Allister became the top priority for Liverpool's board and for Jürgen Klopp, and after having fulfilled the first objective, they are already in talks to sign the next reinforcements for the following campaign.
Klopp stated that, after the departure of important men in recent years such as James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita, the team's midfield is the area most in need of reinforcements, so Liverpool fans could expect at least two or three more additions in that sector.
After signing World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister, Jürgen Klopp has three other players in mind who would be his top priority. We are talking about Frenchmen Képhren Thuram and Manu Koné, as well as Spaniard Gabri Veiga. According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool has already scheduled talks with Thuram and Koné's entourage, although he assured that there is still no formal offer on the table.
