Liverpool were able to take a point from Stamford Bridge despite having a limited squad at the back, surprisingly playing Diogo Jota as the starting centre forward, demonstrating the start of Jürgen Klopp's new strategy, with a more intense pressing team, but a couple more reinforcements are needed to give Klopp the team he needs to achieve something important.

At the start of the game, John Henry and his wife Linda Pizzuti arrived and were able to see the needs of the team, as there was a lack of a defensive midfielder to give Liverpool the balance they need, although they were a team with deficiencies, the draw is a result that benefits the Anfield side as they were able to take points away from home.

Daniel Sturridge was also on hand as an analyst for his new job with Sky Sports and the former Reds striker held nothing back against John Henry, stating that the club needs to help Klopp, as they will not be able to compete for silverware if they do not give Klopp reinforcements. FSG should heed these words and close negotiations for top quality reinforcements as soon as possible.

What Klopp needs

Undoubtedly this first game revealed the shortcomings of the team, the midfield does not seem to have that stability that Fabinho gave him so that his teammates can go out without problems as undoubtedly the profile of the midfielders who played are more offensive profile, although Szoboszlai had to have a more delayed participation as he had been playing in the preseason, so Liverpool urgently needs a holding midfielder and John Henry will have to start spending large amounts to have the team that Klopp deserves.
