Jude Bellingham's future could take an unexpected turn in the next few days

Jude Bellingham's future could take an unexpected turn in the next few days. Until a few days ago it looked as though he would end up becoming a Real Madrid player next season, but recent rumours have brought Liverpool closer to securing his signature for next season.

Haaland's spokesman Jan Aage Fjørtoft claimed that the player was very close to signing for Liverpool, but reports of this rumour have increased in recent hours. As reported by The Times, Bellingham has already reportedly told the Borussia Dortmund board of his desire to land at Anfield ahead of the 2023/2024 window. The Reds' board have gone from having ruled out signing him a week ago to being the favourites to close the deal ahead of Real Madrid. One of the factors in Liverpool's favour in the signing of Bellingham is financial, as they are willing to make an offer that meets the Bavarian side's financial demands.

In addition to the money there are more aspects that would have made Bellingham change his mind and decide to play at Anfield next season instead of at the Santiago Bernabeu, despite the fact that there has been talk of the existence of an agreement in principle between the player and Real Madrid.  Bellingham has decided he wants to play for a team where he is going to be important and feels that will be easier to achieve at Liverpool, with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, who have the confidence of the board, still at the club. Liverpool legends such as Steve Gerrard and Jamie Carragher have made it clear that they believe the British midfielder could become the leader of the team and one of the club's next legends.

<strong>Hey Jude</strong>

But it was Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson who finally confirmed that Bellingham is edging ever closer to signing for Liverpool. It was in an interview with Sky Sports that when asked which song was his favourite by The Beatles, he replied Hey Jude and gave a strange laugh as a reference to Bellingham.
