"He fitted in very well. It's a new club, everything is new for him. Liverpool is a big club, everything happened very quickly for Darwin in the last few years," the Reds boss told the club's official website. On the other hand, regarding the negative comments received by the Uruguayan, the German indicated: "It's a difficult pre-season. The players shouldn't play like they usually do because we train a lot".

"He is a new player and he is judged every day, everyone is talking about him. Everything is so hectic, I'm not sure if it's my age or something else, it's too hectic for me. I always think, 'Why are we judging people constantly and so early?'" he continued.

He added - "It's going to be fine, it's going to take time. I don't think we know yet what Darwin's path might be like because everything is still very fresh and he really wants to enjoy it every day. We have a lot of work to do and he has work to do as well. He will make big steps with us.

Finally, Klopp said that barring any "injuries or player sales", Liverpool already have their “squad set for next season. Hopefully there will be no injuries and Liverpool fans can focus on other things."
