Jürgen Klopp's first good news of 2023 before facing Brentford

Liverpool arrive in London to take on Brentford Bees for three more points in their quest to climb the Premier League table. Klopp is pinning his hopes on the duo of Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez, who despite not being able to score, has helped the Egyptian to shine on the pitch. Liverpool are also odds-on favourites.

Klopp, who had struggled in recent weeks with injuries, from the confirmation of Luis Diaz's injury and his medical intervention, to the more recent injuries to Roberto Firmino and Curtis Jones, both of whom have yet to return. To this the German coach found the light at the end of the tunnel with the medical clearance of Ibrahima Konaté who after his time in Qatar with his France national team, is ready.

The new year brought the Reds some good news that brought a smile to Klopp's face as it was confirmed that Brentford captain Ivan Toney will not feature in Monday's game, making him one of the most notable absentees for the Bees.
