Since the end of the 2022-2023 season, Jürgen Klopp and the Liverpool board have had a clear objective for the transfer market: to acquire young midfielders. One of the most talked-about players to arrive at Anfield is Képhren Thuram.

Although Klopp's top priority was to secure the signing of Alexis Mac Allister, which was completed a few days ago, Thuram's name has also been mentioned as one of the main objectives of the German tactician, as he considers that the son of French legend Lilian Thuram could be one of the key players in his new project.

Thuram, 22 years old, currently plays for Nice in France's Ligue 1, a team with which he has shown great quality that has even taken him to the national team and has also aroused the interest of big teams in Europe.

However, everything seems to indicate that Thuram prefers to arrive at Anfield this summer and even his father would have advised him to select Klopp's project to continue his career. That's why the signing of Képhren Thuram seems to be a matter of time while the directives of both clubs reach an agreement.

Thuram's latest nod to Liverpool

After the match between England and Malta for the Euro qualifiers, in which Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold had an outstanding performance, Képhren Thuram liked a picture on Instagram praising the great game of the Reds player, which was interpreted by many as another nod towards the Anfield squad.
