Although the signings Liverpool are looking to make are aimed at a substantial improvement that could get them back in the fight for all the titles they are competing for, not everything within the group at Anfield is looking as optimistic as expected, and after it was announced that manager Jürgen Klopp is relentlessly looking to bring in at least two midfield players without counting the signing of Alexis Mac Allister, one of the most damaged elements of this situation is undoubtedly captain Jordan Henderson.

While it is said that for next season it will be Mohamed Salah who will wear the captain's armband, some report that Jordan Henderson may lose his starting place with the arrival of the reinforcements, leaving the experienced midfield man very unhappy as his main competition in the team will be Khephren Thuram who will leave Nice in France after having made great displays in Ligue 1.

The midfielder is currently contracted to Nice until June 2025, so the summer of 2023 could be the ideal time to negotiate a possible transfer. From what is known about the player, it is said that his asking price could be around 40 million euros, an affordable figure for a team that will not have many financial resources in the transfer market.

Thuram will be a better earner than Hendo

Until the end of this season, Jordan Henderson remained one of the most active and consistent players on the pitch, allowing his football to maintain his £7.2 million a year, a figure that Thuram could surpass in a few weeks' time with a contract that could reach £8 million a year, making the Frenchman one of Liverpool's highest paid players.
