Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp spoke at a press conference in preparation for Monday night's clash at Anfield against Crystal Palace. From the AXA Training Centre, as well as his discussion of the Reds' midfield options, he spoke about Harvey Elliott's new contract, his favourite duo and his favourite moment in the Champions League last season.
According to Klopp, the partnership between Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez is great, because both players are always looking for the goal to score. While Salah is at his best, Nunez is settling in," said the German coach.
He said: "It's a great partnership, no doubt. It's two players who are determined to score and be in the crucial areas - behind the line, wherever the line is. It's very useful. Mo is in a really good moment and Darwin is settling in."
In addition, he spoke about the moment Luis [Díaz] is living: "he lacked the goal, if you like [at Fulham], very good moments, very good situations. He [had] two chances, one went to the post, I think, or to the crossbar, and then it was blocked in another situation."
"So, hopefully, he would score and that would help him enormously. But other than that, this department wasn't our problem last weekend."
