Honduran youngster Keyrol Figueroa is having a brilliant pre-season as he prepares to make his debut in his first campaign with Liverpool's England U18 side. The first-born son of the great Maynor Figueroa has seen action in all five of his five warm-up games for the 22/23 season, scoring three goals in the first five games of the season with two weeks to go before kick-off.
The U-18 Premier League kicks off on Saturday 13 August, before their final warm-up game on Friday against Cardiff. The youngster, who also holds an English passport, is aiming to be a starter in the upcoming campaign where he will be coached by Marc Bridge-Wilkinson, also from England.
Keyrol will have the opportunity to showcase himself on the biggest stages of European football in his debut year with Liverpool's second youth team as they begin UEFA Youth League action in September, ahead of the FA Cup (current runners-up) and Premier League Cup U-18 tournaments. Figueroa has yet to see international action. In Honduras they are looking to have his services for the next U-17 team in development for the U-20.
