Despite Liverpool's 3-0 win over Ajax to book their place in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League, Jurgen Klopp's side were unable to seal their place in the last 16 at the Johan Cruyff Arena, as injuries seem to have returned to the team once again, although this time not with as much intensity, with midfielder Jordan Henderson only missing a week.
Although the final result suggests that Liverpool did not have so many complications facing Ajax, the truth is that during most of the first half the Merseyside team suffered a lot in the midfield and in defence, with the veteran midfielder leaving the pitch already in the 70th minute with some discomfort that would make him miss the game against Leeds.

Should the Reds boss confirm Henderson's absence for Saturday night, the German tactician will once again have to make some adjustments to avoid being disadvantaged in that area of the pitch, playing against him but at the same time being relieved by the return of Spaniard Thiago Alcantara who missed the games against Nottingham Forest and Ajax.
This may be the fourth time that the Merseyside side have caused some excitement for their fans after a stunning victory in the European Champions League, but as on the previous three occasions, they ended up disappointing their fans with less than positive results in the Premier League, showing the attacking and defensive shortcomings that have dogged them so much this season.
Although Liverpool's opponents are in one of the three relegation places, this does not mean that even without Henderson, Klopp's side can take all three points so easily, as almost a week ago it was a similar scenario when they faced Forest with Alcantara out, and the Reds suffered a shock defeat to the bottom side of the table.
