After Mbappé's summer 2022 flop, Real Madrid were satisfied with the signing of Aurelien Tchouameni to reinforce the midfield as a great replacement for Casemiro, but the Frenchman has been losing his starring role over the months, with Los Merengues looking at a possible exit that could be destined for Anfield.

Everything seems to indicate that the lack of regularity of the French midfielder has made Jurgen Klopp and the board are interested in bringing Tchoumeni to Merseysdie, this being their second attempt to acquire the services of the Frenchman after having failed the first time where it was Madrid who went ahead to acquire his services.

Aside from Mac Allister who is practically a done deal for the Reds, Klopp and his people see in Aurelien an exceptional player who could easily be the replacement for a Jordan Henderson who looks set to lose his Liverpool captaincy, with the German striker looking for an ideal replacement in his position, with the potential to take on the status of leader in the squad having been identified by the German striker.

Tchoumeni could strike a big deal with the Reds

With Madrid's interest in Jude Bellingham, Tchoumeni could join the Reds for a price that may be somewhat affordable for them, and could even command a better salary than in Spain, going from 300k euros a month to possibly £500k, which would be on a competitive level with some of Europe's top midfielders.
