Although Antony was said to be ruling out a move away from Ajax this summer, things are changing fast. After Manchester United's poor start to the season, they appear to be desperate to bolster their squad with big-name signings such as Casemiro from Real Madrid.

Antony, 22, was linked with the Red Devils on many occasions since the start of the summer and especially when Cristiano Ronaldo's intentions to leave became known. Erik Ten Hag told a press conference on Friday about the final plans at Old Trafford to finalise a transfer window that could still hold plenty of surprises.

In the meantime, according to Footmercato.net, United have reportedly offered €80m plus €20m in variables for Antony. The player wants to move and the Dutch club are looking for a replacement in the likes of Hakim Ziyech or Justin Kluivert, but they are apparently still waiting for Liverpool's offer.

Antony to Liverpool?

Although Liverpool are unlikely to make any more signings this season, having re-signed a number of their key players on a long-term deal, Football Insider had previously reported that Antony was in Liverpool's sights. Ajax's Brazilian star Antony could be set to join Jurgen Klopp's squad, with Klopp reportedly enquiring about the winger, although the Reds would be unwilling to pay more than €75m.

Liverpool's attack currently consists of Salah, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino, so the addition of the Brazil international is not a priority as they have that sector well covered.
