Another season is over for Liverpool, a season that has been very complicated due to a series of injuries as they did not get the expected results but thanks to a good end they managed to get into fifth place in the standings with 67 points and next year they will be in Europe playing in the Europa League

This Sunday the Reds played their last match of the campaign visiting Southampton who had already been relegated but became a difficult opponent because despite going down 2-0 they quickly managed to turn it around in the second half taking a 4-2 lead.

But the German coach Jurgen Klopp showed pride and in the final stretch of the game, goals from Cody Gakpo and the Portuguese Diogo Jota to level the score in a crazy game that also served as a farewell for two legends like James Milner and Roberto Firmino who leave the team after giving them glory.

Klopp's reaction

One of the highlights of the match was Roberto Firmino's first-half goal, which became his last goal for the club and prompted a mixed reaction, especially from German boss Jurgen Klopp: “There's not a lot to learn. But what is to learn from is that I think in a lot of clubs, when the expectations are as high as our club - rightly so - when things don't go well, pretty quickly [it] starts with blaming each other, stuff like this, that didn't happen here.”
