Since Jürgen Klopp arrived at Liverpool in 2015, he has established himself as one of the best managers in the world, as he has led the resurgence of our club and led us to win every trophy possible, but he has also made it clear who the biggest team in the Premier League really is, and now he has given a lesson to Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United.
With Jürgen Klopp's experience in English football, he could well teach a thing or two to the Dutch manager, who is still too new and has had poor results for his team. One of those lessons could be player management and how to have a superstar in your team, for while Erik ten Hag ended up taking Cristiano Ronaldo out of Manchester United, Jürgen Klopp has been able to keep Mohamed Salah, despite interest from other big teams to take him away.
On the other hand, Klopp has proven to be a true master of negotiation when it comes to signing players, because unlike other coaches, Klopp knows how to convince players to come to Anfield and makes them fall in love with the project, which causes the players themselves to seek to come to Liverpool and consequently causes their price to decrease when it is time to negotiate with the management of the team in question.
This was recently expressed by Fabinho, the Liverpool midfielder who said that from the first approach he had with Klopp helped him decide to sign for the Reds when he was playing for Monaco in Ligue 1. Similarly, recent Liverpool reinforcement Alexis Mac Allister said that one of the big reasons why he chose to come to Anfield was because of the conversation he had with Klopp.
Manchester United have tried to sign Mason Mount, however all three bids they have made have been rejected by the Chelsea board. A few weeks ago, Mount also appeared on Liverpool's radar, however Jürgen Klopp decided not to go ahead and pursue the player's arrival, foreseeing Chelsea's greed and thus avoiding getting embroiled in too long a negotiation.
