During the World Cup in Qatar, Jurgen Klopp has had plenty of time to plan for his side's return to the Premier League in the third week of December, with the German tactician taking care of all the details on the pitch as he awaits the reintegration of the injured and those who went to the World Cup with their national team.

With the exception of Darwin Nunez, who was eliminated in the first round along with Uruguay, there are still six Liverpool players in Qatar who are actively pursuing a place in the quarter-finals, with defender Virgil van Dijk already involved in his side's win over the United States, while his defensive partner at Anfield, Ibrahima Konate, started as a substitute in the France v Poland clash.

Although the Reds' French defender has not had the consistency of his Dutch team-mate during the four matches between the two national teams, the Liverpool boss does not seem concerned about Konate's situation, as long as manager Didier Deschamps keeps him in contention it will be enough for when he has to return to action in England.

While it is true that Klopp has been very active in looking at possible new reinforcements at this World Cup, the German has also shown a keen interest in his injured players, and was pleased to hear that Joel Matip is now fully fit and likely to return to the team's activities as soon as possible.

Matip's successful recovery means that the Liverpool manager now has a couple more variants in the first block on the pitch, analysing the chances of the player playing in the Premier League reopening on Boxing Day, with the aim of giving a little more rest to his World Cup players and for the Welshman to get back into the rhythm he lost during his injury lay-off.
