The Reds' new signing looks set to become one of the club's highest paid players

With the transfer window drawing ever closer for Liverpool and with several players already in Jürgen Klopp's sights, it is interesting to see what the outcome of some of the rumours linked with the Merseyside outfit will be, with the potential signing of Manuel Ugarte intriguing and how much the club could pay for the Uruguayan midfielder.

Although there is talk of a transaction of around 30-35 million euros for the South American player, it is said that the great attraction for Ugarte is not only in being able to reach a team of greater weight in European football, but also that the Uruguayan would opt for the Reds thanks to his relationship with Darwin Núñez and the high salary that they are willing to give him every year.

With the Sporting Lisbon midfielder set to be the main replacement for Fabinho, it is said that his salary could be in the region of 8.5 million euros a year, surpassing the 7.3 million euros that captain Jordan Henderson receives and below Spain's Thiago Alcantara who earns just over 11 million euros, with Ugarte undoubtedly one of the highest paid midfielders.

No reinforcement has yet to surpass Salah's earnings

Although Ugarte may earn just over 8 million euros a year and the likes of Alexis Mac Allister and Mason Mount are also said to be on big wages at the Reds, none of these players will be able to match the earnings of Salah who still remains the highest paid player in the club, proving his worth in every game as he is already in the club's all-time scoring charts and is within touching distance of his second best season of his career, surpassing the 31-goal mark he has achieved in the last two years of competition.
