In her debut season saw her named Players’ Player of the Year, while in May she was named Charlton’s Player of the Year after an impressive campaign that included nine clean sheets and a run of almost 15 hours without conceding a goal in all competitions.

Also won her first international cap for Scotland earlier this year, helping her home nation to a penalty shootout victory. She will join the group led by goalkeeping coach Joe Potts, which includes last season’s Championship Golden Glove winner Rachael Laws and Charlotte Clarke, with Rylee Foster currently on rehabilitation from injury.

LFC Women manager Matt Beard said: “We were impressed with Eartha’s athleticism, her shot-stopping was unbelievable and her distribution was good. “Her performances have got her recognition with her national team as well. Pottsie was really keen, he’d been monitoring her all season, and the two games we played against Charlton last year she really impressed in those games. “At that point she was at the top of our list and we were able to get the deal done.”

The third summer signing for Beard

Cumings has joined her new teammates for the first week of training at The Campus this week and is looking forward to continuing her progression on Merseyside. She is the third summer signing for Beard after the arrival of defenders Emma Koivisto and Gilly Flaherty.

She said: “It feels amazing to have joined such a huge club and I’m really excited. “I was super keen as soon as I heard there was a chance of me coming here. I just want to help the team wherever I can, settle in and help the squad.

“I’m really looking forward to working with the goalkeepers who are already here, everything I’ve heard about them they seem like great people. “Obviously Rachael had a great season last year and Charlotte came in partway through the season and did really well stepping up to a higher level. I’m really looking forward to pulling on such an historic shirt.”
