The economic power of the Saudi Arabian league has dazzled the football world, as they have already managed to bring great players to their league, convincing them with large sums of money, which has affected big clubs in Europe that have seen their legends leave for Arab football.
From Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Manchester United to Karim Benzema leaving Real Madrid, Saudi Arabia has lured world football stars with multi-million dollar contracts and exorbitant sums of money that other clubs cannot match.
In the case of Liverpool, several Saudi Arabian clubs have tried to approach the environment of several Reds players, such as Mohamed Salah and Thiago Alcantara, but so far Jürgen Klopp has not suffered the casualties of those players who have preferred to remain in Europe. However, rumors continue to swirl about some possible arrivals of club legends that have sparked interest in the Middle East.
In recent days, Steven Gerrard was strongly linked with the Arab club Al-Ettifaq, who would be interested in the Liverpool legend becoming their new manager, offering him a big contract. Several reports claimed that Gerrard was on the verge of signing for the exotic league, but now it seems that the destiny of our eternal captain will be different.
Steven Gerrard has come out to declare that rumors about his possible arrival at Saudi Pro League side Alt-Ettifaq are "not true", thus totally ruling out his arrival in Saudi Arabia.
