Marcos Asensio's future is still up in the air. He finishes his contract with Real Madrid in 2023 and the club has not made him a renewal offer until the player decides his future. He signed with Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes to find him a new team as a message to the club.

He has a few offers, one of them could be from Liverpool, at Klopp's request after seeing Mané leave, as well as Milan. Madrid, pending what Asensio decides, are interested in other attacking options in case the Spanish attacker signs for the 'Reds'.

Marco Asensio is also waiting for a gesture from the Madrid club, who have let Serbian Luka Jovic leave without receiving anything in return. Asensio is hoping for a similar deal or at least a considerable reduction in his valuation. Newcastle and Liverpool are also on the list of interested clubs.

According to English press, Asensio is in Liverpool's orbit. Reports say that he would be willing to lower his economic demands, he is demanding from Madrid 6 or 7 million euro yearly salary to renew, but he would accept a lower salary in an English club. In the Madrid club they are beginning to feel tired of this saga. It is strange that he is willing to earn less in Liverpool,  understanding that he wants more playing time, however the competition in England will be as tough as the one in Real Madrid.

Liverpool's interest is fading, Asensio's price is too high

Marco Asensio does not rule out fulfilling the remaining year of his contract and leaving on a free transfer next summer, realizing that Real Madrid have no apparent interest in offering him a renewal deal. Liverpool would not be willing to pay the 50 million euros demanded by the Madrid club to open the exit door for him this summer.
