Liverpool players surprised fans across the city

Mohamed Salah, Joel Matip, Kostas Tsimikas and Virgil van Dijk helped Standard Chartered deliver a surprise to fans across the city on Thursday.

The Liverpool quartet joined the team's title sponsor's Fans of Fans campaign, which celebrates the passion and loyalty of Reds fans, on a memorable tour of the area.

In pairs, Matip and Van Dijk, and Salah and Tsimikas, toured the city in search of impromptu moments to share with fans.

The players handed out hundreds of special gifts, chatted with Reds young and old, posed for photographs and even took part in spontaneous kicks, as Standard Chartered also celebrates the recent renewal of its partnership with the club until 2027.
