According to data shared by the portal, 3 out of every 5 Premier League fans in the United States identified with Liverpool, making the Reds the most popular team in the country, followed by Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.
One factor that has helped the Anfield club's popularity increase is the recent successes of qualifying for the Champions League final, as well as the League Cup and FA Cup titles against Chelsea, in addition to the Premier League and Champions League titles in previous seasons.
The same study revealed by Morning Consult detailed that 53% of Premier League fans in North America prefer to follow MLS rather than any of the other major European soccer leagues such as La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and France's Ligue 1.
