The 2022-2023 season ended up being a big disappointment for Liverpool, as the team failed to qualify for the next edition of the Champions League, which is why the main objective for next season will be to return as soon as possible to the most important club competition in the world.
To achieve this, Jürgen Klopp and his coaching staff have decided to strengthen and rejuvenate the squad, prioritizing the arrival of young midfielders. Such is the case of Alexis Mac Allister, who became the Reds' first signing. However, Mac Allister's arrival promised to be just the first of several players to join Klopp's project, but so far the second signing has not materialized.
Liverpool has a list of candidates who could arrive at Anfield for the next campaign, but the board has been cautious and wanted to analyze the transfer market before making a formal offer for any of them.
One of the most talked-about players to reinforce Liverpool is 21-year-old Dutch midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, who is considered one of the most promising players in Dutch football and currently plays for FC Bayern. A year ago, Gravenberch was also wanted by Liverpool, but finally decided to leave for the Bundesliga, where he has not received many opportunities and is now looking to leave for a team where he will have more playing time.
Liverpool's board is the most interested in signing Ryan Gravenberch, although there is also interest from Manchester United. To secure the signing of Gravenberch, Liverpool could offer an amount close to 30 million euros, which would mean a gain of more than 10 million euros for FC Bayern, who paid 18.5 million euros to Ajax a year ago for the Dutch player.
