The Reds are going through a season of disappointing performances, but they are still in the running in the FA Cup and Champions League, and Klopp believes the team does not need a total rebuild. "Too often this season, we didn't play to our potential. That's the truth. We had games that we played very well, but not enough to be successful," he admitted.

"We don't want to turn back the clock, we don't want to start from scratch. It's not from scratch, but we have to start again. The good thing about a long career is that it's not the first time I've had a situation like this," he added.

When asked about the possibility of bringing in players in the market, the coach was annoyed: "It must be a language problem that they ask this question over and over again. We look outwards. It's not that we are stubborn and think we will go with these guys until 2050. We don't see it that way, it's all about what you can do and what you want to do."

Arthur leaves Liverpool

According to Brazilian journalist Felippe Facincani, Arthur Melo's loan at Liverpool could very likely be terminated in the immediate future, with Brazilian side Palmeiras interested in signing the midfielder. The midfielder has been a flop as injuries have kept him out of the team and Klopp has reportedly made the decision that he will not remain with the club.
