After the disappointment of the 2022-2023 season, in which Liverpool failed to qualify for the Champions League, the Reds' board has set its sights on strengthening the squad with players that Jürgen Klopp likes, who will help the club return to the top levels of Europe. One of the main targets for the team is Alexis Mac Allister, for whom they would be willing to pay a large amount of money.

Mac Allister has just finished the best season of his young career in the Premier League, where he scored 10 goals in 35 games played for Brighton & Hove Albion. In addition, he was champion of the Qatar 2022 World Cup with Argentina's national team, where he aroused the interest of different teams around the world.

After his impressive performance in the World Cup, Mac Allister's value increased substantially, since according to the Transfermarkt portal, the 24-year-old Argentine player is valued at 42 million euros, an amount that the Anfield team would gladly pay, as he is the key player for Jürgen Klopp's new project for the future of the Reds.

However, to convince Mac Allister to join one of the historic teams of English football, Liverpool's board will have to put on the table a contract that seduces both Brighton and the player himself and everything indicates that Liverpool would be willing to substantially increase the salary of almost 3 million euros per year that he currently receives at Brighton & Hove Albion, with whom he has a contract until 2025.

Liverpool's offer for Mac Allister

The Liverpool board has offered a 5-year contract, with the possibility of an additional year and a salary of around 7 million euros per year to convince Mac Allister to sign and become the Reds' first reinforcement for the next season.
