Jurgen Klopp's side face a further test in Monday's Premier League matchday 3 clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford. At 20:00 (BTS), Liverpool will take to the pitch to face another derby, which hopefully takes place without any suspensions.
For Klopp, the return of Roberto Firmino to the squad will be essential after missing the game against Crystal Palace as a precaution and with Darwin Nunez missing, who will serve the first of three games after being sent off in the same game, Firmino, along with Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah, will be in attack.
In midfield, Naby Keita, Fabinho and Henderson would be in those positions. Alisson Becker will be in goal, while in defence Robertson, Virgil Van Djik, Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold will complete the starting 11 that will beat Manchester United at home again, perhaps with another goal to spare.
Ahead of Monday night's trip to Old Trafford for Liverpool's match against Manchester United, manager Jurgen Klopp took questions from reporters at the AXA Training Centre. During the press conference, Klopp discussed the midfield situation in his squad and how the youngsters have taken advantage of those options.
According to the Reds' manager, the injury crisis is to some extent due to the quick turnaround from last season, the shorter pre-season and bad luck, or a mixture of all of these. Klopp questioned what went wrong with his squad, and while he claims it is a lot of bad luck, there have been a number of players who are now inactive.
