Liverpool and Fulham will face each other this weekend in the Premier League matchday 1. After the departure of Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich, Jurgen Klopp is expected to go for Luis Díaz, Roberto Frimino and Mohamed Salah in attack, but the high level shown by Darwin Núñez in recent weeks, could make him doubt.

The Anfield side will be motivated after lifting the Community Shield against Manchester City at Leicester's King Power Stadium last Saturday. A substitute, the impact of goalscorer Darwin has already been felt by the club, who brought him on in the 59th minute, replacing Firmino.

The Reds, who had trailed the Citizens by a point in the Premiership last season, opened the scoring through Trent Alexander-Arnold after 21 minutes before Argentine Julian Alvarez equalised 20 minutes from time. But a penalty from Mohamed Salah (83rd) and a header from Nunez (90+3) gave Jurgen Klopp's men the title.

Line-up

Liverpool won a Community Shield after 16 years (2006), while Uruguay's Darwin Nunez scored his first goal as a Red in an official match. Against Fulham, in addition to the powerful striker, Klopp would also have the return of goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who missed the final against City through injury.

We are likely to see almost the same line-up that started against Manchester City in the Community Shield, with Becker in goal, in defence Trent Alezander-Arnold, who scored against City, Joel Matip, Virgil Van Dijk, in midfield Andrew Robertson, Fabinho Tavares, Thiago Alcantara, Jordan Henderson, and up front Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz and Roberto Firmino, although the latter could be replaced by Diogo Jota or Darwin Nunez.
