A blow on the table to get back into the limelight. Liverpool, knowing that they needed to recover their midfield, have signed one of the 'bargains' of the Premier League: Alexis Mac Allister exchanges Brighton for Liverpool in exchange for the 34.5 million pounds of the clause. That is, just over 40 million.

The World Cup winner with Argentina in Qatar has experienced this 2022/23 his great leap to stardom. After shining and being a revelation in the World Cup tournament, he has confirmed his great season by helping Brighton to reach Europe. He has confirmed last season's sensations and scored 12 goals in 40 games this season for De Zerbi's side.

Brighton, for their part, have made their first major capital gain of the summer: they signed him in 2019 from Argentinos Juniors for just 8 million, now they are selling him for 40 million, a figure that could well have been higher if the buy-out clause had not existed. The Argentine is a tremendously versatile player in midfield and revitalises a position where Liverpool have struggled this season. The era of Fabinho, Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum is coming to an end; a new era is beginning at Anfield with Mac Allister as one of its commanders.

Better than Henderson

The most striking thing was that in his first minutes as a Liverpool player, the fans made him a song to celebrate his arrival, while several fans have said on social networks that they are no longer happy with his performance and even no longer want him to be in the team.
