After arriving in 2021, Messi will leave Paris for his third club in his professional career

Lionel Messi made headlines around the world. The novel between the French monarch Paris Saint Germain and the World Cup winner with Argentina has come to an end. Following Fabrizio Romano's revelation, Messi will not renew and will leave as a free agent once his contract expires in June.

The Reds have also been in Romano's sights since he revealed that the club will go big in the transfer market with perhaps six signings and also that a formal offer has been made to Alexis Mac Allister. With this, The Pool becomes a deductible destination for Messi who is suspended for two weeks after his trip to Saudi Arabia without permission.

Currently and in figures from Salary Sports, Messi earns £670,000 per week, £34,840,000 per year, making him one of the highest paid not only at PSG, but in the world. Messi's salary is surpassed only by teammates Neymar JR and Kylian Mbappé, the latter of whom came close to signing for Real Madrid last summer.

At Liverpool the highest paid player is Mohamed Salah, he has a contract until June 2025, earns £350,000 per week, £18,200,000 per year, figures that do not compare today with Messi, but in the offer that The Pool plans to make, it would have to do with the age that Messi has (35 years old), thus respecting the career of Salah, who is living one of his best moments in the season, scoring five goals in the last four games.
