Liverpool are about to get a closer look at the “next Erling Haaland” on Wednesday and he is looking to catch Jürgen Klopp eye, but the Reds will have to act fast. If there is one thing Red Bull Salzburg have developed a particular reputation for in Europe, it's their ability to produce prolific forwards year in, year out.

From Erling Haaland, to Patson Daka and Karim Adeyemi, Salzburg simply have a knack for finding and getting the best out of their attacking talents, and their products have gone on to achieve greater and bigger things since leaving the club.

More Liverpool news:

The forward area is the only area where Liverpool haven't yet bought a player from the Red Bull clubs, but with Liverpool's tendency in the market to favour Red Bull products having conducted numerous deals with RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg in the past, it would not be a surprise to see FSG sign a Red Bull forward in the future.

That is particularly the case because of the latest young forward coming through the ranks at Sazlburg in Benjamin Šeško. Having been previously linked with a move to Liverpool, he is showing exciting potential already.

Karim Adeyemi

Last season, the 19-year-old was considered largely as an understudy to Karim Adeyemi, but even so, Šeško still averaged 0.98 goals and assists per 90 for Salzburg's first team last season. This season he is the main man at Salzburg, and Šeško is already thriving in his new role having made three goal contributions in the club's opening two matches of the 2022/23 season.

Next up he faces Liverpool, where the towering Slovenian forward will want to catch Jürgen Klopp's attention and with his impressive physique and rapid pace he will certainly be a challenge for the Liverpool defence heading into their trip to Salzburg on Wednesday night.

Liverpool are certainly not in need of a centre forward at the moment but with Šeško only recently having turned 19 years of age there is plenty of time for him to end-up at Anfield in the long term future.
