England had a resounding victory on Friday in the qualifying match for next year's European Championship in Germany in group C as they thrashed Malta by a score of 4-0 in which the best player of the English team was Trent Alexander Arnold with a goal scored thanks to his new position in midfield.
It was a great surprise to see the Liverpool player starting for England as the coach Gareth Southgate did not have enough confidence in him and that was evident in the World Cup in Qatar where he practically left him without playing but now with his new role on the pitch he has become a reference of the team.
While in England's first goal Alexander Arnold started the play in midfield wearing his number 10 shirt, the Reds player was confident enough and on a ball received outside the box he scored the 2-0 with a powerful shot that beat the goalkeeper of Malta demonstrating all his technique.
But it has to be said that if England won this match with solvency it was thanks to the good performance of Alexander Arnold who was practically rescued in this same season by the coach Jürgen Klopp, who changed his position at the end of the Premier League season, moving him from right back to midfield, which allowed him to improve his game and consolidate himself as a star.
