Media outlets such as The Sun predicted that Thiago would be one of the best players in the Premiership and that even after maturing in Germany with Bayern, he would shine at Anfield.

But Alcantara had more darkness than light with The Pool, silly injuries were the triggers for a legend like Jamie Carragher to criticise the Spaniard's actions.
