There are many transfer rumours, some have linked Liverpool with Matheus Nunes, young Moises Caicedo, Real Madrid's Marco Asensio and one of the most talked about names is that of Jude Bellingham, who the Reds were planning to bring in for next season, but in the circumstances his signing is looking more and more likely.
Given the conditions of both players, both Nunes and Bellingham would be the ideal players for the team led by the German manager, but the last word is up to Jurgen Klopp and his team, in whom the board has trusted in recent years and has complied with the coach's requests.
Firstly, there is an injury crisis at Liverpool, which seems to grow after every Premier League game: Joel Matip, Thiago Alcantara, Roberto Firmino, Ibrahima Konate, Curtis Jones, Diogo Jota, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Calvin Ramsay and Caoimhin Kelleher, are all ruled out for at least a couple of weeks with injuries.
Meanwhile, Naby Keita is in negotiations for a new contract with Liverpool, as his current one runs out in 2023, but it appears no deal has been agreed. Some claim he could leave the club in this transfer window if negotiations get complicated.
Darwin Nunez was sent off against Crystal Palace, where the Reds were held to a 1-1 draw by Luis Diaz, but he joins the list of absentees the club will have, in this case a three-match suspension, which further complicates Klopp's selection of a starting 11.
