After being revealed in a much more concrete way which players are the main targets of Liverpool for this summer transfer market, in recent hours has been revealed information through social networks where it is indicated that the return of Sadio Mané to the Reds could be accompanied by another Bayern Munich player who apparently no longer enter into plans of the Bavarian team.

According to Anything Liverpool's German-based journalist Philipp Kessler's account, Leon Goretzka's immediate future could be far from Munich following the sacking of Hasan Salihamidzic, with the Reds one of the most interested sides in securing the services of the experienced Bundesliga midfielder.

Although Jurgen Klopp's team is currently struggling to reach a partial agreement for the transfer of Manu Koné and Khéphren Thuram, the German coach himself knows that having a back-up proposal is never a bad thing, and the signing of Goretzka would probably not be so complicated as Sadio Mane himself could be in charge of convincing him, the only downside of this signing being the high salary that the player would ask for.

Goretzka is the big reinforcement the Reds' midfield needs

Although Kone and Thuram are two youngsters with futures ahead of them at club and international level, Liverpool could make an exception in Goretzka, at least in Goretzka, to go for young talent in order to sign a midfielder experienced in the highest competitions both in the Bavarian and German national teams, being this Teutonic player one of the times of command that Klopp will need for the next campaign.
