With a disappointing 2022-2023 season, Liverpool fans are aware that the team needs to restructure the squad to allow Jürgen Klopp to get back into contention for the Premier League title. In order to do so, the team will have to get rid of several players and one of those who is aiming to leave Anfield is Thiago Alcantara.

Thiago arrived at Liverpool in 2020 from FC Bayern as one of the best midfielders in the world, however with the Reds he was never able to show his best level, as he constantly suffered from injuries that left him out of action for a long time, which also caused his value in the market to decrease drastically.

The Spanish midfielder was worth up to 70 million euros, according to the Transfermarkt portal, and now after three years of playing at Anfield he is valued at 18 million euros. However, despite not having had constant participation in the scheme of Jürgen Klopp, Thiago continues to arouse the interest of other teams and that could leave a good sum of money to our club.

Saudi Arabia want Thiago

The latest reports indicate that a Saudi Arabian league club is seriously considering making an offer to Liverpool to take Thiago Alcantara. Thiago has one year left on his contract with the Reds so the Arab club would have to pay a fee to the Anfield board to take the Spanish midfielder. Taking into account the economic power that the Arab league has shown, it would not be strange if they were to offer up to 20 million euros for him.
