The King of Soccer was the epitome of a triumphant Brazil who was unafraid of any challenge. Pele, a black, underprivileged child born in Tres Coracoes, reminded us that there is always a different way. In addition to winning three World Cups and netting 95 goals in 113 games for Brazil's national team, he kept a promise to his father that he would do so.
We can only be grateful to the King for leaving us a new Brazil. Pele passed away. the happiest of persons and the most divine of football players. He engaged in a game that only few chosen ones have even approached. He lifted the most prized gold trophy three times while wearing that stunning yellow shirt.
Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo praised Pele as a "source of inspiration for so many millions." "He will always be a point of reference. Every time we spent together, even when we were apart, I returned the love you always showed me "After the 82-year-old Brazilian superstar passed away, Ronaldo posted a message on Instagram.
I had the opportunity that younger Brazilians did not: I witnessed Pele play in person at Pacaembu and Morumbi. No playing. I seen Pele perform. Because every time he had the ball, he did something extraordinary that frequently resulted in a goal, ALBERTO FERNANDEZ, PRESIDENT OF ARAGENTINA "One of the all-time great football players has passed away.
We will never forget the years that Pele wowed the world with his abilities. A great hug goes out to his family and the Brazilian people who will always remember him. "GEOFF HURST, A FORMER PLAYER FOR ENGLAND "Pele was without a doubt the best football player I ever faced, and I have so many memories of him (with Bobby Moore being the best footballer I ever played alongside). I was honored to share the field alongside Pele, who I still consider to be the best player to ever live. Godspeed, Pele, and thanks."
