The joy of returning to the highest stage of football in Spain came for Alavés, who beat Levante in extra time in the Ascenso Playoffs of the SmartBank League in Spain, after a goalless draw in the first and second games. It is here that a former Red's player had his big night.

Anderson Arroyo, who has been on loan from Liverpool since last year (2022), won promotion to La Liga in Spain and could now play next season against the big names such as Barcelona, Atletico, Real Madrid, etc. The 23-year-old, interestingly, plays the same position as Mohamed Salah.

Anderson arrived at Anfield in 2018 after being acquired from Fortaleza. Klopp decided to loan him out to Segunda Division B side Mallorca for 18 months. It should be noted that the midfielder has significant experience with Colombia in the U-17, 20 and 23 divisions, where he is just waiting to have participation in the top league and thus, debut with the senior team.

One more piece to Klopp's jigsaw puzzle

Arroyo Cordoba was captured by Esto es Anfield, celebrating the pass to the first division. With a peculiar Colombian flavour and rhythm, Anderson started the party at Alaves, which ended the following day. The Red's player has now played for seven clubs in his professional career, returning to Merseyside this summer following the conclusion of his loan spell with the Spanish club.
