During a day of surprises from Liverpool players to fans across the city, most of the children wore the jersey of number 23 Luis Diaz, instead of Mohamed Salah, which is what you would expect, because Salah was also one of the players who was at the activation, while Lucho this time did not get the chance to attend.

Joel Matip, Mohamed Salah, Kostas Tsimikas and Virgil van Dijk joined the team's title sponsor's Fans of Fans campaign, which celebrates the passion and loyalty of Reds fans, on a memorable tour of the area.

Divided into pairs, they roamed the city in search of impromptu moments to share with fans. The players handed out hundreds of special gifts, chatted with Reds young and old, posed for photographs and even took part in spontaneous kicks as Standard Chartered also celebrates the recent renewal of its partnership with the club until 2027.

Matip, Salah, Tsimikas and Van Dijk's participation was followed on Friday by LFC women's players Rachel Furness, Missy Bo Kearns and Rachael Laws and former Reds Mark Lawrenson and Steve McMahon.
