This summer has been marked by the irruption of the Saudi Pro League in the European transfer market, as the economically powerful Saudi Arabian league has managed to take great players from various European clubs, convincing them on the basis of stratospheric salaries. Our Liverpool has been one of the most affected teams, as two of the team's most important players, such as Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, decided to leave Anfield to join Saudi football.

Since Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival in the Saudi Pro League, a huge number of top players have also decided to come to Saudi Arabia and play for the various Saudi clubs. The likes of Karim Benzema, Neymar and Sadio Mané are now part of the exotic league. However, Saudi Pro League officials are not satisfied with these big names and for weeks now have been openly expressing their desire to sign Mohamed Salah.

It is no secret that the Pharaoh is a much admired and respected figure in that country, so in addition to being one of the best players in the world today, a possible signing of Salah by a Saudi Arabian club would mean a huge media coup. That is why Al-Ittihad, the club that signed Fabinho, N'Golo Kanté and Benzema, have already made two offers to sign Salah this summer.

The first offer would have been 60 million euros and, having been rejected, they would have sent a second proposal of more than 100 million according to journalist Rudy Galetti. However, both offers were immediately rejected by the Anfield board. In addition to these transfer prices, the alleged amount that Al-Ittihad would offer Salah as a salary was also revealed.

The salary they would offer Salah in Saudi Arabia

A couple of weeks ago it became known that Al-Ittihad was willing to pay €180 million in a two-season contract to Mohamed Salah, that is €90 million per year which is much more than the €21.3 million he currently earns at Liverpool. Although for now Salah's own agent has said that they will not be leaving Liverpool, it is expected that next year various Saudi Pro League clubs will try to sign him and according to various sources, Salah would be willing to listen to offers.
