This weekend saw the official conclusion of the European championships. With great excitement at winning yet another title, and the hell of relegation, Paris Saint-Germain won Ligue 1 again in France for the eighth time in a decade. In defeat, Sergio Ramos said goodbye to the French capital.

Ramos is now a free agent after two seasons in Paris, and with that, Klopp is reportedly eyeing a move to Liverpool, who would send two defenders to make the 37-year-old veteran see that The Pool means business. Sergio Ramos could arrive at Anfield in the summer and join his fourth professional club.

As Anfield continues its renovation of its stands, from the Klopp desk and FSG, they begin to map out what will be a hot summer for the Reds. With defeat to Clermont, Sergio Ramos bid farewell to the Ligue 1 champions. With two goals - the last of which came on the day - Ramos is a free agent at the age of 37.

Liverpool start with a clean sweep

The arrival of the Champions League and La Liga winner would come with the departure of Nat Phillips and Joel Matip, who would leave Merseyside after a mediocre season. According to the app FotMob, the Englishman made just two Premier League appearances, while the Cameroonian averaged 6.7 with 12 starts. The departure of these two defenders will give FSG some breathing space in the squad to prepare a bid for Sergio Ramos.
