Forced to sell to be able to face the summer transfer window with options, Inter Milán are considering a move for Nicolò Barella. The Italian midfielder is on the agenda of Newcastle, Liverpool and Chelsea, in a bid that could be worth up to €80m, a figure that Inter have to take into account. Despite losing the Champions League final against Manchester City (1-0), Inter Milán competed brilliantly in the match. However, Simone Inzaghi's side did not go home empty-handed this season, winning the Coppa Italia 2-1 against Fiorentina. For next season, Inter want to strengthen their project to compete in Serie A and in Europe.

But the club's financial situation is not optimal. That is why the Nerazzurri are considering a drastic solution. According to CalcioMercato, the Lombardy side would put Nicolò Barella (26 years old) on the exit ramp. Scorer of 9 goals and 10 assists in 52 games, the Italian is one of the best midfielders on the planet.

Inter will be looking for no less than €80m for the sale of the Sardinian player, whose contract expires in 2026. A figure that the Premier League can afford without any problem. In fact, both Liverpool and Chelsea have shown their interest, clubs to which we must add Newcastle, who have already made a first approach of 58 M€.

Barella won the Euro

But as Corriere dello Sport points out, Stamford Bridge want to use business with Inter to get Barella. Thus, the English side would offer Romelu Lukaku's contract as a technical counterpart for the midfielder. An offer that does not convince Steven Zhang, owner of the Italian club, who is working with other ideas.
