The curtain is about to come down on the 22/23 season, the game against Southampton will be the last game of the season for Klopp, who after the Champions League and Europa League tickets have been decided, could afford the luxury of sending out an alternate squad, as nothing is really at stake in this game, with Saints already relegated.

Even this closure has brought a series of reactions among the club's icons, to be more precious Klopp and Salah. "It's completely normal. It was a normal response & he is right. I saw him in the canteen & he was smiling, not in a bad mood. We've known for a long time it would not be a historic season. Since the World Cup, the amount of points we've got is pretty good, and if we could do that next season, it would be a good one.

Following the boss' comments on The Anfield Talk, the Pharaoh has been in fine form in the close season, having scored three goals in the last five games, giving him a total of 19 goals in 37 appearances. That's not counting the eight goals he scored in this edition of the Champions League, which helped them reach the quarter-finals.

Salah's reaction

Now Salah will look to close the season with the intention of returning to the goal, as against the Foxes and Villans, he did not score, despite being in the starting line-up for most of the game. The Pharaoh, who arrived in 2017 from AS Roma, has been a key player in the last golden era of the club, where after 20 years they won the Premier League.
