The first full season that Luis Díaz had with Liverpool was not entirely positive. The injury he suffered that forced him to spend six months on the sidelines hurt him so much that even in the half-season he played during his arrival he played more games than in the 22/23 season (26 vs. 21). Klopp has already turned the page and is now looking forward to what is to come from August when the Premier League kicks off. The Colombian will be essential to achieve the objectives.

From England, the Football365 portal conducted its usual analysis prior to the start of the season where with the support of Transfermarkt delivers the list of Premier teams with their most valuable player, for which each club could get a greater amount of money if transferred. In Liverpool and to the surprise of the English themselves, it is Luis Díaz who tops the list above players like Darwin Núñez or Alexander-Arnold.

"Luis Díaz, really? We imagined that the player who would really cost the most to get out of Liverpool would be Trent Alexander-Arnold, but the algorithm has calculated a sharp drop over the last two years. Díaz has the age and a long contract on his side to keep him ahead of Mo Salah here," the English outlet published. Although Liverpool have already made their first signing with the signing of Argentine Alexis Mac Allister, the deal did not exceed 40 million euros, so it does not affect the club's list of most valuable players.

What awaits Díaz

For the remainder of the transfer window, the club is not expected to make an investment anywhere near what they paid for Díaz or Núñez. The Colombian would have to join the club's pre-season training camp after the FIFA matchday with the national team. Klopp has a plan already drawn up to start in Germany and then head to Singapore to complete preparations for the 23/24 season.
