Liverpool’s manager Jürgen Klopp is clear as far as the intentions for this summer transfer window, and that is to sign the right players that can help the team to regain the winning mentality that seems lost, even if that means to sign a 60 million euros worth footballer that can help them to win the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp and his coaching staff are already scouting the market to find those players, and it appears that money is not going to be a problem, as they are aiming to reinforce the squad and compete with Manchester City’s power.

However, not playing Champions League next season could be a dealbreaker for some of those targeted players, as Liverpool ended this year at the fifth position, which left the team out of the world top club competition. Nevertheless, it is fair to say that even though Liverpool will not be playing Champions League for the 2023-2024 season, the club is set to return as soon as in the 2024-2025 campaign.

Under the light of these events, Reds will have to carry out a great deal of work if they want to convince world-class players to join this historic club. That being said, one of the board’s main objectives is to sign a midfielder with offensive qualities.

Milinkovic-Savic, the favorite

The 28 year-old serbian has only one year left in his contract with Lazio, and has been linked to Liverpool from a few years now, but this summer could be the definitive one since the player has not renewed with the Italian capital club. Milinkovic-Savic could play Champions League with Lazio, as they ended at the second position just behind Napoli, but if Sergej does not sign a new deal with the ‘irriducibili’, he could be a free agent the next year.

According to Transfermarkt, Milinkovic-Savic worth is around 60 million euros, but CalcioMercato says that the Merseyside entity could seal a deal for 26 million.
