The Red's expections to sign the RB Leipzig star, as contract expires soon

When his contract expires in the summer, the midfielder has made the decision to move to Bayern Munich, as rumors about Laimer's contract at RB Leipzig, which expires at the end of the season, increased, the Reds were claimed to have done "significant work" on him throughout the summer.

When numerous clubs were considering the idea of a pre-contract agreement over the winter, the Austrian decided against extending his stay. Midfield reinforcements are reportedly at the top of Jurgen Klopp's priority list for the midseason transfer window because problems in the center of the field have been a major cause of this season's woes.

Laimer, who is 25 years old and fits the desired age profile for Klopp and Liverpool, was one of those alternatives. Plettenberg's information, however, indicates that the midfielder has decided to stay in Germany and sign with Bayern.

He is anticipated to sign a long-term contract with the Bavarian team after the club and player are claimed to have struck a'verbal agreement' that will be made formal in the new year, Laimer has only made five appearances for Leipzig this year after suffering an ankle injury in September. Shortly after German football resumes on January 20.

He is anticipated to make a comeback. In the January transfer window, Klopp and Liverpool are anticipated to bolster their midfield, and several names have been mentioned. The Reds are reportedly interested in Ruben Neves of Wolves as well, although it will be difficult to lure the Portuguese midfielder away from a struggling team that recently hired Julen Lopetegui as their new manager.
