The most important game in England is the one between the biggest clubs in the Premier League, Liverpool and Manchester United. These two clubs go way back with a lot of historical matchups and tomorrow they will see each other one more time when they play their first preseason game in Thailand in Rajamangala Stadium.

This rivalry is the biggest in the United Kingdom and one of the most passionate. Although Liverpool has their local derby against Everton and Manchester United have their clash against Manchester City, the game most of the fans look on the fixture once it comes out is the one against Liverpool or Manchester United. 

A rivalry that is originated due to the proximity of both cities Liverpool and Manchester, this match is part of England's football culture and society's history. It has an industrial background, when back in the 1920's the boats stopped going to Liverpool and shifted to Manchester, the anger of the fans added to the success both clubs were participants of, it built this historic rivalry. 


The head to head statistics show that Manchester United has a slight advantage over Liverpool with 81 victories for them and 70 for Liverpool. History show us that the first match was in favour of the Reds with a 2-0 victory back when Man Utd were Newton Heath. Nowadays, things are still in favour of Jurgen Klopp's team, with four victories over the past six matchups.
